Nanophotonics and Mid-infrared Engineers and Research Scientists

We are looking for high quality researchers with established track records of conducting silicon and mid-infrared photonics research with nanophotonics packaging and automation experiences. Omega optics has several on-going programs from federal government and private industry targeted at high speed modulation, electromagnetic sensing, gas sensing, biomedical sensing and printing optoelectronics. We are also in the process of exploring joint ventures with potential collaborators. The success will create a myriad of openings for further commercialization. The qualifications for these positions include:

Have a Ph.D. degree from major research universities in the related field.
Familiarity with clean room fabrication procedures for silicon and mid-infrared nanophotonics.
Packaging and automation for nanophotonic system integration
Have in-depth understanding of semiconductor and device physics
QCL, ICL, QCD and ICD mid-infrared design and testing
Good communication skills in writing and oral presentation.
High working ethics in experimental data delivery
Know how to handle inter-personal relationship in the professional realm with supervisors and peers.
Has a legal working status in USA. Green card holders and US citizens are preferred but not a must.

Salary: $75,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year

Biophotonics Research Scientists and Application Engineers

We are looking for high quality researchers with established track record in the area of biosensing with photonic devices, and with primary degree in analytical
chemistry and biochemistry. Omega optics has programs from federal government targeting applications in biosensing for cancer diagnostics, drug monitoring and pollution sensing. Application engineers with marketing experience and business plan development are also welcome to apply. The qualifications for these positions include:

1. Have a Ph.D. degree from major research universities in the related field, primary research and academic expertise in analytical chemistry or biochemistry or biomicrofluidics.
2. Familiarity with clean room fabrication procedures for silicon photonics and/or photonic devices in general, and in biomicrofluidics is desired.
3. Have in-depth understanding of analytical and biochemistry, as related to surface chemistry in semiconductor biophotonic sensors.
4. Good communication skills, both in writing and oral presentation for proposal and business plan preparation
5. High working ethics in data delivery
6. Know how to handle inter-personal relationship in the professional realm with supervisors and peers
7. Has a legal working status in USA. Green card holders and US citizens are preferred but not a must
